Nathan M. Pabico

Hello web surfers. My name is Nathan Mabazza Pabico. This is my personal space on the world wide web. This website will tell you about myself and my family.

For starters, on the right is a copy of a digitized form of the reaction between a light sensitive film and the photons that reflected off my face (in other words, my digital photograph).

My Story

I was brought into the world on the 13th of December 2005. I never had a name for four months. But this fact is not something that everybody should pity about. That is because, our God has a plan for me. He actually had prepared a name for me even before I was conceived by my biological parents. This name was given to my Tatay and Nanay on April 2005 when Tatay was still in Mississippi while Nanay is in Laguna. They were figuring out a name for their first child. Tatay and Nanay told me that Nathan is the Hebrew word for Gift of God. They told me that I am God's gift to them, a responsibility on their part to raise me as a God-fearing person. Thus, on the 13th of April 2006, when I was exactly 4 months old, God has given Tatay and Nanay a favor: He has entrusted my life to my Tatay and Nanay.

My Family

My father's name is Jaderick P. Pabico, while my mother's name is Necie B. Mabazza-Pabico. I call my father tatay (tuh-tie) and my mother nanay (nuh-nigh). These are the Filipino terms for daddy and mommy (or papa and mama), respectively. We share our home with Q, Data, Einstein and Equinox. These four are our companions and loyal friends.

My Extended Family

My Lolo's (grandfather) name is Cardo (Pabico) and my Lola's names are Belen (Pelo) and Virgie (Mabazza). My uncles are Tito Rhode (Pabico), Tito Cesar (Gomez), Tito Nanie (Mabazza), Tito Randy (Santos), and Tito Danmark (Santos). My aunts are Tita Norie (Mabazza-Gomez), Tita Jane (Pabico), Tita Ochie (Mabazza), Tita Maritess, and Tita Tinay (Pabico). My first cousins are Ate Cyril (Pabico), Ate Jeremeeh (Gomez), Ate Daphne (Pabico), and Kuya Justin (Gomez).

My Great Grandmothers are Tutay (Pabico) and Rita (Borela). My grand aunts are Lola Auntie Mely (Pabico), Lola Auntie Josie (Cruz), Lola Auntie Azon (Pabico), Lola Auntie Fe (Pabico), Lola Auntie Liway (Macaro), and Lola Tita Tess (Bacareza). My grand uncles are Lolo Uncle Val (Pabico), Lolo Uncle Edgar (Macaro), Lolo Papa (Bacareza) and Lolo Uncle Noli (Borela). My grandcousins are Tita Che-che, Tito Sherwin, Tita Leng, Tito Mike, Tita Jeanette (Cruz), Tita Denden, Tito Emil, Tito Junjun (Cruz), Tita Annie (Cruz), Tita May (Pabico), Tito Buboy (Macaro), Tito Boogie (Macaro), Tito Julius (Macaro), Tito Jumar (Macaro), Tita Wency (Pabico), Tito Mark (Bacareza), Tito Herrie (Bacareza), and Tita Chec (Bacareza).

My Hobbies

My hobbies are drinking milk, sleeping, mimicking my Tatay to talk, pumpong (with Nanay), lying on my tummy and trying to crawl (05 June update -- I am now crawling), giggling, and screaming my lungs out specially if I am trying to sing. My favorite songs are lullabyes (sung by Nanay) and rock-a-bye baby. I listen to the concierto masterpieces of Beethoven (scientific research says that listening to classical music helps in brain development, that's why).

Pet Peeves

I do not have any, though I cry when hungry or bored (who wouldn't if you're hungry?). I am only bored when Tatay would not allow me to play with his computer keyboard. He told me that he needs his computer to provide me with food.

Favorite Color

I like the color red but I am in my most passive alert moment when I see figures in black-and-white (scientific research says that most infants are easily attracted to black-and-white geometric shapes).

Favorite Game and Physical Activity

My favorite games are hide-and-seek with Tatay, air-pedalling with Nanay (help straighten my legs), and walking (with Tatay). When I grow up, my favorite games will be chess, basketball, and running with Data, Einstein, and Equinox.

Favorite Book

I am 5 months old, do you think I can read? You see, I am only pretending to write this page but my Tatay actually did the typing.

Thanks

  1. I would like to thank Lola Belen for allowing Tatay to borrow her Revo. Our visits to my favorite pediatrician are very much comfortable because of the Revo. Also, the Revo is very useful whenever Tatay had to go to buy milk and diaper at night. It is also used to transport my crib, stroller, and 5 gallons of distilled water for my milk.
  2. Thanks to Tita Mai (Aquino), Kuya Nico (Aquino), and Ate Karla (Raymundo) who gave Nanay and Tatay company on 13 April 2006. Tita Mai gave me my very first set of diapers.
  3. Thanks to Ate Jeremeeh and Kuya Justin for letting me use their crib, stroller, and for handing-me-down their clothes.
  4. Thanks to Lola Virgie for the milk and gifts.
  5. Countless thanks to my Nanay and Tatay's church cellgroup co-members who first prayed for me: Tito Ross and Tita Myla (Anacleto), Tita Jean (Tipay), Tita Candy (Pimentel), and Tita Evelyn.
  6. Thank you to Tita Jee, Tita Arlene, and Tita Ellen (all Aquinos) for the clothes.
  7. I would like to thank all my relatives for welcoming me into this family.

I would like to thank our God for providing us with these generous and wonderful people. My God will return the favor one hundred folds.
